Dalton Associates, established in 1995, is a mental health and psychological services organization whose mission it is to provide specialized and quality assured, mental health and wellness services that are culturally sensitive, safe, accessible, and timely, within communities throughout Ontario. We have worked with first responders, including Police Officers, for decades through our counselling and assessment services divisions, supporting them towards sustainable mental wellness at home and at work. In recent years, we have developed a First Responder Services Division that offers fully customized mental health and wellness programs for First Responders and civilian members of First Responder organizations.

Dalton Associates offers First Responder organizations customized, comprehensive, and fully-integrated mental health and wellness solutions. The programs we design ensure streamlined access to specialized mental health services and information, as well as integration of the mental health and wellness information, services, and resources already available to our partners (e.g., WSIB Services, Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) services, extended health benefit coverage, etc.). This ensures co-ordinated, holistic, sustainably-focused services for each First Responder, civilian staff member, and their family.

Our Team

Carl Dalton, M.S.W., RSW

Chief Executive Officer, Dalton Associates

Carl is the CEO of Dalton Associates, serving the province of Ontario. Carl holds a Masters of Social Work Degree and is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. He brings 15 years of clinical and business leadership experience in education, mental health and addiction fields. He continues to maintain a small private practice where he treats adolescents, young adults, and families struggling with mental health challenges. Throughout his career, Carl has learned that the key to providing comprehensive services for a communities and organizations is through collective, integrated interventions that emphasize quality services, clear outcomes/goals, communication, and mutual respect.

Michelle Goldsworthy, M.S.W., RSW

Director of Operations and Program Development, Dalton Associates

Michelle joined Dalton Associates in 2016 in a mental health management capacity, and is currently the Director of Operations and Program Development with Dalton Associates. Michelle manages the administrative and program operations of the organization, and directs the development of new partnerships and customized mental health programming in service of diverse individuals, organizations and communities throughout the province with the goal of making mental healthcare accessible and bridging gaps in available resources. Michelle holds a Masters of Social Work degree from Renison University College at the University of Waterloo, and is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

Louise Hanson, M.S.W., RSW

Manager, Corporate Client Relations

Louise joined the Dalton Associates team in 2020 as Manager of Corporate Client Relations. She brings a unique blend of business acumen and people know-how gained through considerable experience managing global teams and customers over the last 20+ years in an evolving landscape of workplace mental health and wellbeing. She has partnered with organizations to deliver customized solutions that mutually meet the mental health needs of employees and the psychological health and safety goals or organizations and associations. She is an authentic leader with unwavering commitment to the success of the organization, customers, clients, and team members. Louise received her MSW from McGill University, and is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

Kathi Janusiak, M.A., C. Psych. Assoc.

Director of WSIB Services

Kathi is a Psychological Associate registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Since obtaining her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, she has worked mainly in private practice and has nearly 20 years experience providing psychological assessment and treatment to individuals and couples. She currently holds the position of Director of WSIB Services at Dalton Associates. Kathi has a special interest in working with first responders and has obtained extensive training in this field. She provides a full range of psychological services (diagnostic assessment and treatment) to those dealing with stress, depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain and specific phobia.

Dr. Rakesh Jetly, OMM, CD, MD, FRCPC

Psychiatrist

Dr. Jetly is a psychiatrist with many years of experience working with military and veterans in occupational health settings. Dr. Jetly is currently the Head of the Centre of Excellence on Mental Health, Directorate of Mental Health within the Canadian Armed Forces, and an associate professor of psychiatry at Dalhousie University and the University of Ottawa. He has published numerous articles in professional journals and presents nationally and internationally on such topics as post-traumatic stress disorder, operational psychiatry occupational mental health and leveraging technology in mental health.
